There are lots of opportunities for you to be involved with some of the projects and programs that serve young children. Contact the Community Facilitator to match your interests with work that is underway. Also – every few years the Network does a series of city wide parent focus groups to hear directly from parents about what they need and want for their children in the Alberni Valley. Please contact us if you would like to participate in a focus group!

Are you a business person?

Programs and services for children need local business as partners for more than donations! Maybe you can play a role in promoting opportunities for children, be a role model as a child and family friendly business, volunteer on local boards for non-profit children’s services. Contact the Community Facilitator to get connected!

Are you a service provider or interested community member?

The Make Children First Network meets from 9-12pm on the 4th Tuesday of every month at Wood Elementary School, Learning Centre. Contact the Community Facilitator for more information and to receive an agenda. The meetings are open to anyone interested in working together for children in our community. New members and perspectives are ALWAYS welcome!
